Hello!

You only have the possibility to exercise one of the activities regulated by the law if you have passed the expert knowledge examination according to § 34a GewO: https://www.sachkunde-34a.de/grosser-34a-schein-pflicht/

You have passed the examination if you both partsi.e. have successfully completed the written and oral part of the examination. The “certificate” issued to you by the examining chamber (IHK) serves as proof.

ImportantIn addition, the so-called reliability must be given. In practice, this means that the competent authority checks whether you have relevant criminal records. Your employer reports you to the Guard Register (BWR) and you will receive a guard ID (via your employer). It goes without saying that apart from this, all other things that usually have to be observed in the context of an employment relationship must of course be regulated — here, the security company is primarily responsible (keywords: social security notification, employment contract, accident prevention regulations, etc.).
